The program is designed for those seeking employment for the position of a Restorative Nursing Assistant. The objective of the program is to instruct the student to meet the required skills to perform simple therapy/nursing procedures contributing to the care and rehabilitation of the sick or injured and others requiring therapy services
The purpose of restorative care nursing is to take an active role in helping older adults maintain their highest level of function, thus preventing excess disability. The course is designed to help formal and informal caregivers and administrators at all levels to understand the basic philosophy of restorative care, and be able to develop and implement successful restorative care programs.

The student will complete the required number of laboratory experience hours at with a Restorative Nurse instructor. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will be awarded a CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION in the RNA Training program.
At the present time (since 2002), the State of Illinois no longer has a certification exam for the Occupational Rehabilitation Aide (ORA) and Physical Rehabilitation Aide (PRA). However the curriculum followed at Jethro Healthcare School is the same as required by the State of Illinois when certification was mandatory. This program does meet Medicare and Medicaid guidelines for the CNA or DDA working with Restorative Nursing programs.
